How to Assign a Label to a Client (New Client Card)

This article guides you through the process of assigning labels to clients in Pabau.

This article covers the new Client Card, available to selected clinics from August 2026. If your Client Card looks different, see the How to Assign a Label to a Client (Classic) guide instead.

Labels help you categorise your clients and leads. You can also use labels to send targeted campaigns.

Step 1: Navigate to the Client Card

Log in to your Pabau account and navigate to the client card of the client you want to assign a label to by using the search bar at the top of the screen.

Step 2: Locate the Labels Section

Look for the labels section right underneath the client’s name.

  • Assign a New Label: Click Add label to open the list of labels. Use the search box to find the one you need, then click a label to apply it.

  • Assign More Labels: If your client already has labels assigned, click Add label again - labels already applied to the client show a checkmark on their far right.

Administrators can also create a new label on the spot: click Create new label at the bottom of the list, enter a name, pick a colour, and click Create & apply.

NOTE: Ensure to choose labels that best represent the characteristics or categories you want to associate with your clients.

Labels assigned to clients are also visible in the Point of Sale (POS) search during appointments or transactions. This makes it easier for your staff to quickly identify clients based on categories, preferences, or membership types, enhancing workflow efficiency and improving client interactions.
