[Managing Appointments](https://support.pabau.com/en/pabau2/calendar?hsLang=en#managing-appointments) # How to Change the Status of an Appointment ## In this guide, you'll learn how to change the status of an appointment. #### **Step 1: Navigate to the Calendar** Start by [logging into your Pabau account](https://app.pabau.com/) and navigate to the [Calendar](https://app.pabau.com/calendar) in the left sidebar menu. **![image-png-May-13-2026-01-06-02-2238-PM](https://support.pabau.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-May-13-2026-01-06-02-2238-PM.png?width=670&height=339&name=image-png-May-13-2026-01-06-02-2238-PM.png)** #### **Step 2: Apply Appointment Statuses in the Calendar** By default, your account comes with five basic, hard-coded statuses: Waiting, Arrived, Complete, Running Late, and No-show. These statuses cannot be deleted as they are linked to specific actions in the system. For example, the **"Complete"** status triggers the sending of aftercare or feedback requests. **NOTE:** Once an appointment is marked as **"Arrived"**, a **"# min in"** label appears on the appointment, showing how many minutes have passed since the client was marked as arrived. If the status is changed to **"Waiting"** or **"Complete"**, this label disappears. You can create custom appointment statuses by following the steps in [this guide](https://support.pabau.com/en/pabau2/how-to-create-appointment-statuses?hsLang=en). Once your statuses are set up, changing an appointment's status in the calendar is easy. Simply click on the appointment to open the context menu.
