[New Online Bookings](https://support.pabau.com/en/pabau2/online-bookings?hsLang=en#new-online-bookings) # How to Add Online Booking to Your WordPress Site with AI Onboarding If your website runs on WordPress, AI Onboarding can put online booking on it for you. It finds the pages where a booking button or form belongs, shows you each change before it happens, applies the ones you approve through the Pabau Bookings plugin, checks every change on your live site, and lets you roll any of them back. **NOTE:** This guide covers the new Online Bookings and Client Portal, which are being rolled out to clinics in phases. If your screens look different, your account may still be on the classic version — message us via the in-app chat and we will help. **Before You Start** - Your website must run on **WordPress** and use **HTTPS** (its address starts with https://). - The website address must match the website in **Setup → Business Details**. If it doesn’t, you are asked to set it there first. - You need a WordPress **administrator** account and an **application password**. This is not your normal login password: in your site’s wp-admin, open **Users → Profile → Application Passwords**, create one named Pabau, and copy it. You can revoke it there at any time. - WordPress multisite networks can’t be changed automatically. Ask your network administrator to set up the Pabau Bookings plugin for your site. - Not on WordPress? Check **Your clinic website**. It is filled in from **Setup → Business Details**. 2. In **Connect your WordPress site**, enter your **WordPress username** and the **Application password** you created. 2. Click **Connect WordPress**. **NOTE:** After several failed attempts, connecting is paused: wait ten minutes and try again. **Step 3: Follow the Progress** A strip across the top shows each stage: **Connect**, **Check plugin**, **Find pages**, **Prepare**, **Apply**, **Global button** and **Verify**. Each one shows **Waiting**, **In progress**, **Action needed**, **Complete**, **Retry needed** or **Skipped**. Progress is saved, so you can close the window and come back at any time. **Step 4: Install the Pabau Bookings Plugin If Asked** Pabau needs the Pabau Bookings plugin, version 1.1.0 or later, on your site. If it is installed but switched off, Pabau switches it on for you. If it is missing or out of date: 1. Click **Download Pabau Bookings ZIP**. 2. Click **Open WordPress plugin upload**, upload the ZIP and activate the plugin. 3. Back in AI Onboarding, click **Check again / resume**. **Step 5: Confirm Your Services Page** Pabau looks for the page that lists your treatments and shows it under **Services page**, with how confident it is. If it picked the wrong page, or found none, paste the right address into **Paste a services page URL** and click **Use this page and prepare again**. **Step 6: Review Your Recommendations** Under **Review your recommendations**, each page gets a card showing: - Where the booking goes, for example **Placement: after** a heading on the page. - **Visitor preview**: either **A booking button opens a booking window** or **An embedded booking form appears on the page**. - What it books: **Service: … · Practitioner: …**, or a whole category of services. - For links your site already has, the **Current destination** and the **New destination**. 1. Tick the changes you want. Each approved change keeps a copy of the original page so you can roll it back later. **NOTE:** Pages made with the WordPress block editor, the classic editor, Avada / Fusion Builder, Divi or WPBakery can be changed automatically. Pages built with Elementor, Beaver Builder, Oxygen, Bricks or another page builder show **Manual placement required. Copy the shortcode into this page using its editor.** Paste the shortcode into the page yourself. **Step 7: Add a Booking Button Across Your Site (Optional)** 1. Under **Global booking button**, switch on **Enable a booking button across the website**. 2. Set the **Button label** (Book now to start with), the **Button colour** as a six-digit hex code such as #0084d5, the **Button position** (**Bottom left** or **Bottom right**) and the **Button size** (**Small**, **Medium** or **Large**). **Step 8: Apply and Check the Changes** 1. Click **Apply selected changes**. 2. Watch **Changes and verification**. Pabau saves each change, then opens the page on your live site at desktop and mobile sizes and checks the booking works. A checked change is marked **Verified on desktop and mobile**. If a change fails the check, it is rolled back automatically, so your page is left as it was. **IMPORTANT:** Apply your changes within 20 minutes of the recommendations being prepared. After that, start a new scan. Avoid editing a page in WordPress while Pabau is applying or rolling back changes to it. **Step 9: Roll Back a Change** 1. To undo one change, click **Roll back this change** on it. To undo everything from this run, click **Roll back all changes**. Rolling back restores the copy of the page saved before the change. If someone has edited that page in WordPress since, their newer edit is kept and the rollback is reported as a conflict, so nothing is overwritten.
