[New Online Bookings](https://support.pabau.com/en/pabau2/online-bookings?hsLang=en#new-online-bookings) # How to Add Highlights, an Extended Description and a Notice to a Service **NOTE:** This guide covers the new Online Bookings and Client Portal, which are being rolled out to clinics in phases. If your screens look different, your account may still be on the classic version — message us via the in-app chat and we will help. In this article, you will learn how to give a service more detail on your booking page: **highlights** (short key facts with an icon), an **extended description** (headings, text and expandable sections), and a **service notice** (a short message, such as “You may need a patch test”, shown under the service). You will also see how each one looks to your clients, and where service pictures come from. **Step 1: Open the Service’s Online Booking Tab** Go to **Setup → Services** and click the service you want to edit. Then: 1. Click the **Online Booking** tab. The **Description** at the top of the tab is the short text clients see under the service name in your services list (up to 600 characters). See [How to Make a Service Bookable Online](https://support.pabau.com/en/pabau2/en/pabau2/how-to-make-a-service-available-online?hsLang=en). **Step 2: Add Highlights** Highlights are short facts shown with an icon at the top of the service’s details window — for example treatment length, how often to come back or how long results last. 1. Under **Highlights**, click **Add highlight**. 2. Type a **Highlight title** (for example *Results*) and a **Highlight detail** (for example *Within 5 working days*). 3. Click the icon on the left of the row and choose an icon. The preview under the rows shows how your highlights will look. You can add up to 12. Include the appointment length as a highlight if you want clients to see it there. **Step 3: Add an Extended Description** The extended description is longer information shown under the short description in the service’s details window — what is included, what is tested, aftercare and so on. 1. Under **Extended description**, click **Add heading**, **Add text** or **Add expander**. Each click adds a block. 2. Fill in the block. A **Heading** is a title. A **Text** block has a toolbar for bold, italics, lists and links. An **Expander** has an **Expander title** that clients click to open the text underneath. 3. Use the arrows on a block to move it up or down, or the bin to remove it. The preview under the blocks shows how the description will look. Click **Add Service Notice** at the bottom of the tab. 2. Type the message in **Service Notice (short)**. This is the line clients see under the service. 3. Optionally, add more detail in **Service Notice (long)**. When it is filled in, clients see a **More info** link that opens it. You can only type here once the short notice is filled in. **Notice Example** shows how it will look. Clients click an expander to open it. ![Highlights and an extended description in the service details window](https://support.pabau.com/hubfs/Pabau%202%20Knowledge%20Base/kb/obc-2026/489459512563-06-client-details.png) *Highlights and the extended description in the service’s details window* **TIP:** In Pabau Studio, the **Services** section settings let you change how clients open the details window (an info icon, a **More details** link or a **Details pill**), and **Force details before booking** makes clients open the description once before they can add the service. **Where Service Pictures Come From** If your services list uses a layout with pictures, each service shows: 1. The **Image** on the service’s **General** tab, if you have added one. 2. Otherwise, its category’s picture. 3. Otherwise, a stock photo matched to the service name. If the name doesn’t match any stock photo, no picture is shown.
