How to Sell a Gift Card from the Client Card
Step 1: Navigate to the Client Card
Start by logging in to your Pabau account using your login credentials. Then navigate to the search bar at the top of the page and type at least three letters of the client’s name. Pabau will filter the results as you type.

Step 2: Create a Sale
After opening the client card, click the Create button in the bottom-right corner and choose Sale from the menu.

This opens the checkout with the client already attached to the sale. To sell them a gift card, choose Gift from the left-hand menu.

You’ll see all the gift cards available for sale. Click the one you want — a window will open where you can review the price, recipient, and code, then click Add to cart.

Click Continue, choose the payment method, and confirm the payment. Once the payment process is complete, you can view the invoice and the gift card.

Step 3: Open the Gift Cards Section
After the sale, the gift card appears in the client card under Gift Cards. From there you can view all of the client’s Active and Expired gift cards — including each one’s remaining balance and expiry date — extend them, or email them to the client. Click the T&Cs button in a gift card’s details to flip the artwork over and read its terms and conditions — click the card again to flip it back.

TIP: If the client has no gift cards yet, the Gift Cards section shows a Create gift card button that opens the checkout straight on the Gift tab with the client already selected.
NOTE: You can find out more information on how to create gift vouchers in this article.
How to Email a Gift Card from the Client Card
Step 1: Navigate to the Client Card
Start by logging in to your Pabau account using your login credentials. Then navigate to the search bar at the top of the page and type at least three letters of the client’s name. Pabau will filter the results as you type.

Step 2: Open the Gift Cards Section
After opening the client card, select Gift Cards in the navigation bar to view the client’s gift cards.

Step 3: Email the Gift Card
On the Active tab, find the gift card you’d like to send, then click the Email button.

A confirmation window will appear, showing which gift card will be sent and the client’s email address. Click Send email — the gift card will be delivered to the email address listed on the client’s card.

NOTE: The Email button only appears when your gift card email notification is switched on under your client notifications. If the client has no email address on file, the confirmation window will let you know and the email can’t be sent.
Once the client clicks "View Voucher" in the email, they’ll be redirected to the client portal, where they can see the duration, value, and terms and conditions of the gift card. From there, they can use it towards their next appointment.

You can email multiple gift cards by repeating the steps above.
How to Change a Sold Gift Card’s Duration
Step 1: Navigate to the Client Card
Start by logging in to your Pabau account using your login credentials. Then navigate to the search bar at the top of the page and type at least three letters of the client’s name. Pabau will filter the results as you type.

Step 2: Open the Gift Cards Section
After opening the client card, select Gift Cards in the navigation bar to see the gift cards previously purchased by the client.

Step 3: Change the Gift Card’s Duration
Once you’ve found the gift card you want to change the duration for, click the Extend button.

The Alter gift card duration window will appear, with two tabs for adjusting the gift card’s validity:
- Quick extend: Drag the Extend by slider to push the expiry date out by 1 to 24 months, or click one of the shortcut stops (1, 3, 6, 12, or 24 months). The window shows the current expiry date alongside the new one, and the valid-from date stays the same.

- Custom dates: Set the Valid from and Valid to dates yourself. The end date must be after the start date.

Once you’re done, click Save. The updated dates appear next to Valid from and Expires in the gift card’s details.
Repeat this process for any other gift cards whose duration you want to change.
NOTE: The Extend button is only available for active gift cards. Gift cards on the Expired tab show a Reactivate voucher button instead, which reopens them with a fresh one-year validity period starting today.
How to Check a Gift Card Code from the Client Card
Step 1: Navigate to the Client Card
Start by logging in to your Pabau account using your login credentials. Then navigate to the search bar at the top of the page and type at least three letters of the client’s name. Pabau will filter the results as you type.

Step 2: Find the Gift Card Code
Open the Gift Cards section to see the client’s gift cards, including each one’s value, name, remaining balance, and expiry date.
Every gift card has its own unique code. You’ll find it displayed in the bottom-left corner of the gift card’s artwork, and next to Code in the details shown beside it.

Step 3: Pay with the Gift Card Code
Clients can use this code to pay for an appointment when booking online. During payment, they can choose the "Gift Card or Promo Code" option and enter the code there — the price will be deducted from the gift card’s balance.

Another way to pay with a gift card is at the point of sale. Once you proceed with the payment, you can select the gift card as a prepaid payment method to deduct the price of the appointment.

By following these steps, you can find a client’s gift cards and use their codes to pay for services.
