NOTE: The redesigned Home page and sidebar are being rolled out gradually. If your Pabau looks different from the screenshots below, your clinic has not been moved across yet - your existing Home page and menu continue to work exactly as before.
What the sidebar is
The sidebar is the vertical menu on the left of every page in Pabau. It stays with you wherever you are in the system, and it is the main way of moving between areas of the product. Use the arrow at the top to collapse it to icons when you want more room for the page you are working on, and again to expand it back to full labels.

The sections on the sidebar
By default, the sidebar lists the following sections, in this order:
- Home — your daily dashboard. See Understanding the Home Page.
- Calendar — appointments and scheduling.
- Team — staff members, teams, rotas and permissions.
- Leads — enquiries that have not yet become clients.
- Clients — client records, client cards and everything attached to them.
- Analytics — reports and dashboards.
- Stock — inventory, batches and stock movement.
- Marketing — campaigns, promotions and marketing tools.
- Money — invoices, payments, quotes and financial tools.
- Activities — tasks, calls and follow-ups.
Below those, separated by a divider, sit four items that stay in place and cannot be reordered: Inbox (your Engage conversations), More, Setup, and Help at the very bottom.
NOTE: You will only see the sections your permissions allow, and only those your clinic has switched on. If something you expect is missing, read Why a Section Is Missing from Your Sidebar.
The More menu
Clicking More opens a panel listing every remaining area of Pabau, each with a short description of what it covers. Two things live there by design: sections you have chosen to move out of the sidebar yourself, and a handful of less frequently used areas that start there for everyone.
Nothing in the More menu is hidden or switched off — it is simply one click further away than the sidebar. At the foot of that panel you will find Customize, which is where you rearrange the sidebar.

Badges and counts
Some sections show a small number beside them. These are live counts, not unread markers, and each one counts something different:
- Leads — leads created in the last 48 hours.
- Reviews — feedback received in the last 24 hours.
- Labs — lab results marked as received and assigned to you.
- Activities — your outstanding activities.
- Inbox — unread Engage conversations.
When a section carrying a count has been moved into the More menu, its number is added to the badge on the More button, so you never lose sight of it.
Help
The Help item at the foot of the sidebar opens a panel with the fastest routes to support: chat with support, the support telephone numbers, the help centre, your existing support cases, and a link for sending us product feedback.
