[GE Ultrasound Machines](https://support.pabau.com/en/pabau2/ultrasound-configuration-dicom-setup?hsLang=en#ge-ultrasound-machines) # GE Voluson Series This guide sets up a current GE Voluson (for example the E8, E10 or Expert series) to send its images to Pabau. GE uses the same DICOM screens across these models, so the steps also apply to most newer Voluson systems. **NOTE:** Before you start, install and pair Pabau Imaging Link on a clinic computer, then open **Equipment → Add equipment → A machine on the network**. Keep the **Address**, **Port** and **AE title** from the card headed **Give these to your X-ray engineer** to hand. Steps 1 to 3 of *Setting up your Ultrasound System* walk you through this. **Step 1: Open the DICOM Configuration** 1. Press the **Utility** key on the control panel, then **Setup**. 2. Open **Connectivity**, then the **Device Setup** tab. 3. Press **Dicom Configuration**. Press **Add**. 2. Set **Services** to `STORE` and fill in: - **Alias**: `Pabau` - **AE Title**: the **AE title** from Imaging Link, typed exactly, for example `PABAU-RECEPTION` - **IP Address**: the **Address** from Imaging Link, for example `192.168.1.25` - **Port**: the **Port** from Imaging Link, usually `11112` Leave **SC Server** (storage commitment) empty and **TLS** off. ![The DICOM Configuration list: press Add](https://support.pabau.com/hubfs/Pabau%202%20Knowledge%20Base/ultrasound-ge-voluson_4.jpg) *The DICOM Configuration list: press Add* ![Pabau as a STORE destination (red) and the image settings (blue)](https://support.pabau.com/hubfs/Pabau%202%20Knowledge%20Base/ultrasound-ge-voluson_5.png) *Pabau as a STORE destination (red) and the image settings (blue)* **Step 3: Set the Image Settings** In the lower part of the same screen, set: | Color | Color | | --- | --- | | Image Size | Original | | 2D Compression / 2D JPEG Quality | JPEG / high | | Cine Compression / Cine JPEG Quality | JPEG / high | | Send Image as | Image | | Send 2D Cine as | Multiframe | | Send 3D Volume as | Image | | Send 4D Cine as | Multiframe | | DICOM Image Type | default | | Send Measurements as | --- | Press **Save&Exit**. On the machine, select the **Pabau** destination and press **Test Connection**. A good connection shows **a pass for both Ping and Verify**. 2. In Imaging Link, **A machine got in touch** appears. Give the machine a name you will recognise, such as `Ultrasound Room 1`, and click **Yes, accept its images**. **IMPORTANT:** Until you click **Yes, accept its images**, the test passes but every image the machine sends is refused. If the test fails, see *Imaging Link Port, AE Title & IP Address*. **Step 5: Send a Test Image** Scan an image and press the P button you set up to send to **Pabau**. The image appears in Pabau under **Imaging → Queue**, ready to file to the patient with **File to a patient**. **TIP:** To choose which button sends images to Pabau, or to send automatically when you end the exam, see *P Buttons / S Buttons / Send Buttons / Acquire*.
