Dashboard Permissions

Dashboard permissions control whether a staff member can access the Home page and Company Dashboard, part of the wider Roles & Permissions system that lets you control what each team member can see and do.

Step 1: Navigate to Roles

Log in to your Pabau account, and in the left sidebar menu, click on "Team" to expand it, then click on "Team" again from the submenu. 

This opens the Team page, showing four tabs: People, Roles, Teams, and Visibility. Click on the "Roles" tab.

Step 2: Open the Dashboard Category

Find "Dashboard" in the Feature Name column and click the arrow beside it to expand the category. This reveals its two individual permissions, "Can access home page" and "Company Dashboard," listed as separate rows underneath.

Each checkbox in the table turns that permission on or off for that role. Ticking the "Dashboard" row enables both permissions at once, while ticking an individual row like "Company Dashboard" only affects that one.

NOTE: The "Owner" role's checkboxes appear greyed out, since the Owner role always has full access and can't be restricted.

Step 3: Understand What Each Permission Does

  • Can access home page – When enabled, the staff member can access the Home page in Pabau — the landing page shown after logging in, which includes daily overview widgets, frequently visited shortcuts, and helpful resources. If disabled, the staff member won't be able to open this page at all.
  • Company Dashboard – When enabled, the staff member can see the full Company Dashboard, including all company-wide data. This gives visibility into overall clinic performance rather than just their own activity. If disabled, this broader view is hidden from them.

 A few things to be aware of:

  • Permissions apply to the role, not the individual — so if you set a permission for the Receptionist role, every staff member with that role gets the same access.
  • If you don't see the right role for what you're setting up, you can create a new one and set its permissions from scratch.

By following these steps, you can control exactly what dashboard-level access each role has in Pabau.
