Call & Messaging Pricing
Engage usage — texts, faxes and calls — is paid for in Pabau credits. This article lists what each action costs in credits, and what credits themselves cost in each supported currency.
What Each Action Costs in Credits

| Picture message (MMS) | 3 credits per message | Flat rate per picture message, regardless of size. |
| WhatsApp message | Currently no credit charge | WhatsApp conversations are currently included without a per-message credit charge. |
| Fax — sent | 1 credit per page | Billed once the fax is delivered. |
| Fax — received | 1 credit per page | Billed as inbound faxes arrive. |
| Phone calls | Variable, billed in credits | Based on the carrier rate for the destination and call type, converted to credits at your per-credit rate. Billed after the call ends, once the carrier finalises the price. Both legs of a browser call are included. |

What Credits Cost
Credits are bought in bundles, and larger bundles reduce the per-credit rate. Top-ups are billed in your clinic’s billing currency — GBP, USD or EUR (other currencies are billed in USD). The tables below show the standard rate; prices exclude VAT, which is applied at checkout where applicable.

TIP: Your clinic may have a contracted per-credit rate that differs from the standard rate above — clinics on a discounted contract pay their contracted rate instead, and bundle discounts do not stack below the contracted floor. The exact price is always shown before you confirm a top-up.
How Call Billing Works
Calls are the one variable cost: the price depends on the destination, the call type (local, mobile, toll-free) and its length. When a call ends, the final carrier price is converted into credits at your per-credit rate and deducted — you will see the deduction shortly after the call rather than instantly, because carriers finalise pricing after hang-up. Every call’s cost is visible in Settings → Calls → Usage.
Keeping an Eye on Spend
- The composer’s segment counter shows an SMS’s credit cost before you send it.
- Settings → Calls → Usage and Settings → Fax → Usage track minutes and pages.
- Auto top-up keeps a bundle of your choice loading automatically when the balance runs low, so reminders never stop mid-month.
