# How to Manage Account Settings

## In this article, we’ll cover how you can manage your account settings in Pabau, including updating your profile, setting up password security, and customizing notifications.

#### Step 1: Access Account Settings

Begin by [logging into your Pabau account](https://app.pabau.com/) using your credentials. Click on your avatar or profile picture located in the top right corner of the screen. From the dropdown menu, select "[Account Settings](https://app.pabau.com/account/settings)."

#### Step 2: Profile Tab

In the first tab, Profile, customize your:

**Profile picture:**

Upload or change your profile picture for easy identification.

**Name, language, and timezone:**

Modify your name, language, and time zone.

**NOTE:** Language changes affect only your account, not other users. Your time zone setting does not change the times shown in Pabau — see **Which time zone does Pabau show times in?** below.

Your login email can only be changed through the Team feature. Open your user profile, click "Change" under the email field, and validate the new login email via email confirmation.

#### Step 3: Security Tab

In the second tab, Security, you can change your password and your passcode for the Pabau App. 

**How to change your password:**

- Click on your avatar in the top-right corner of your Pabau account.
- Select "[Account Settings](https://app.pabau.com/account/settings)" and go to the "Security" tab.
- In the "Change password" section, enter your current and new password, then click "Change Password" to finish.

**NOTE:** The password must include at least one number, at least one uppercase letter, and at least one special character.

**How to set your passcode for the Pabau Go iOS app:**

- Click on your avatar in the top-right corner.
- Select "[Account Settings](https://app.pabau.com/account/settings)" and go to the "Security" tab.
- In the "Passcode" section, set a four-digit passcode for the app, if not done already.

- To change your PIN code, replace the existing one with the new one.
- Click "Save Changes" in the top right corner of the Account Settings page.

#### Step 4: Notifications Tab

In the Notifications tab, you can manage how you're alerted about key events, such as new bookings, appointment activity, payments, reviews, lead enquiries, and system or security alerts. Notifications are grouped into categories, and each one can be delivered by email, inside the web app, or both, depending on your preference.

#### **Which time zone does Pabau show times in?**

Pabau shows times in your clinic’s **Default timezone** — not the **Timezone** on your **Profile** tab, and not your computer’s clock. For example, the date and time a lead was created on the leads list and on the lead’s timeline, and the date ranges in reports such as End of Day, all use the clinic’s time zone. Everyone in the clinic therefore sees the same times, wherever they are working from.

To change it, go to **Setup → Business Details**, open the **Details** tab, choose the **Default timezone** under **Language, date & time**, then click **Save changes**. You need access to the Setup page to do this. See [Business Details](https://support.pabau.com/en/pabau2/business-details-1?hsLang=en) for the rest of that page.

*Where this comes from: the times you see ← the clinic’s Default timezone ← **Setup → Business Details → Details → Language, date & time**.*

**NOTE:** The **Timezone** on your **Profile** tab is saved to your own account, but it does not change the times you see in Pabau. If lead times or other times look an hour or more out, check the clinic’s **Default timezone** first.

**TIP:** Locations don’t have a time zone of their own — a clinic with locations in different time zones shows every time in the one Default timezone. If no Default timezone has been set, times fall back to the time zone of the computer you are using, so two colleagues could see different times; setting the Default timezone fixes this.
